The Philadelphia 76ers welcomed one star back Wednesday night, but they lost another one in their second consecutive loss.
Ben Simmons did not play in the second half against the Jazz in Utah and was diagnosed with what the team called a mild right shoulder sprain. Simmons will be re-evaluated Thursday in Denver as the Sixers continue their road trip.
Simmons appeared to injure his shoulder in the first quarter after colliding with Utah’s Royce O’Neale in the post. Simmons passed the ball back out to the perimeter, then grabbed his shoulder and attempted to flex his arm.
